Connected Vehicles Expo is organized by a dedicated team of professionals and expert volunteers working together to develop, promote, and deliver a world-class connected vehicle technology event. 

The Host Organizer provides overall leadership, strategic direction, partnerships, and event management. The Conference & Speakers team develops the conference program, recruits industry experts, manages speaker relationships, and ensures high-quality educational content. The Media & Marketing team builds awareness through the event website, social media, newsletters, public relations, podcasts, videos, and industry media partnerships to attract attendees and promote innovation. The Business Development & Sponsorships team works with exhibitors, sponsors, partners, and industry organizations to create valuable business opportunities and support the event’s growth. The Operations & IT team manages the virtual event platform, registration systems, attendee support, networking tools, presentation technology, cybersecurity, and technical operations to ensure a reliable and engaging event experience for all participants. 

Together, these teams create an event that helps the connected vehicle industry discover innovations, share successful applications, build valuable relationships, and accelerate the adoption of next-generation vehicle technologies.


Host Organizer & Conference Director - Lawrence Harte

Lawrence Harte - Automotive Media and Connected Vehicle Services Expert

Lawrence Harte is the publisher and editor in chief of EV Business Magazine and host of EV Business Podcast. He has authored more than 151 books (Mostly communications, media and business. Between 2005 and 2025, he interviewed more than 4,137 executives and technologists in the communication industry. Mr. Harte has worked for Ericsson/General Electric, Audiovox/Toshiba and has been an expert consultant for Samsung, Google TV, Nokia, and dozens of other top media and technology companies. He holds many degrees and certificates including an Executive MBA from Wake Forest University (1995) and a BSET from the University of the State of New York (1990).

Scott McCormick - President of Connected Vehicle Trade Association - CVTA

Scott McCormick is the President of the Connected Vehicle Trade Association (CVTA). He has over 25 years of leadership and development experience in intelligent transportation systems, connected vehicle technologies, and mobility innovation. Scott has held key roles at organizations including the Automotive Multimedia Interface Collaboration (AMIC) and the VII Consortium. He has advised federal agencies, contributed to global transportation standards, and led public-private initiatives that bridge the automotive, infrastructure, and wireless industries. Scott’s work supports the development of open standards, educational programs, and collaborative networks essential to advancing connected and electric vehicle ecosystems.

Event Operations

Steve Mortiboy WordPress Expert and Event Operations Director

Stephen Mortiboy is the Director of Operations for Connected Vehicles Expo 2026 (CVE26) and an expert WordPress technology and event operations leader. He has extensive experience with event management, WordPress plugin development, and online community operations. Stephen was COO and Service Delivery Manager at Semper Fi Web Design, where he helped lead the team responsible for All in One SEO, one of the WordPress ecosystem’s most widely used SEO plugins. He also co-founded and organized WordCamp Raleigh, helping manage the WordPress conference for many years, and was an organizer of the Raleigh WordPress Meetup community.

Event Media and Marketing

Saniya Sapkal Event Marketing Manager

Saniya Sapkal is the Event Marketing Manager for Connected Vehicles Expo 2026 (CVE26), bringing experience in project management, business and data analysis, technology, brand engagement, and leadership. She is responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing integrated marketing and media programs designed to increase event awareness, audience engagement, and registrations.

Saniya manages promotional initiatives involving ambassadors, marketing teams, discussion groups, event and media partners, press, volunteers, speakers, blogs, social media, YouTube, digital advertising, and attendee referral campaigns. She also develops ready-to-publish promotional content that enables CVE26 participants and partners to easily amplify the event across their own networks.

Saniya selects and manages marketing tools and services, monitors performance and analytics, tests new channels, messages, and promotional tactics, and uses results to continuously optimize CVE26 marketing programs.

Her professional experience includes roles with Blue Cross NC, Fidelity Investments, and the FIFA Club World Cup, where she served as a Brand Representative. She has led data analysis initiatives, developed business-focused technology solutions, and worked with cross-functional teams to transform data into actionable insights. Saniya was also selected as a National Academy of Engineering Grand Challenge Scholar at NC State and completed its Leadership Development Program.
